In 5 years late(ww), in the future. I think that the entire world was(wt) different, political, social, and economic changes(mw). And so, I believe that in 5 years I’ll like to be working like a geographer, in ministry’s exterior relation(ww). But I’ll like so much living in another country, with other work(ww), maybe in Europe, Asia, Oceania, or in any continent. I love will(wo) travel for(ww) the world, sound really funny, but also in 5 years I’m(wt) 26 years ago(ww), this is time to start to have(wt) a family. Get married with someone, I don’t think so, but it’s an ideal time for have(wf) children.An idea now, is buy(wt) a department(ww) with my boyfriend, but (mw)both didn’t had(wt) time to see (mw)department(ww) in the centre(ww) of Santiago. So only that I have are(wf) my parent’s house in Santiago, and a country house in Loncopangue (VIII region).This is my idea. That is all.

The magnificent Rio de Janeiro! by Maira.

Around the world (mw)have a lot of places than(ww) I would like (wf)knowing, but the first for me would be Rio de Janeiro!I would like visiting this place because I think (mw)is very interesting and entertaining. The(nn) people here are dancing every day the samba(wo) and they would teach me your(ww) traditional dance, and I would dance in the “Carnaval of Rio” and we would drink Caipiriñas!Also, this city has beautiful beach(sp) and (mw)have warm water. In this place I would swim and sunbathing and I come(wt) back to my country with a perfect tan. One example is Copacabana beach, famous by (mw)4 km beach.In Rio I would visit the Cristo Redentor too, an international popular figure of Cristo located in the top of the Corcovado hill.In general, this place always takes my attention. Casually I signed up to participate in a contest for a trip for(ww) 5 friends and I (mw)to Rio de Janerio today. If I will be winner(wf) I would travel in December to this place, I hope this. It would be a great prize for my work during this year. Why(ww) people come with me to Rio? That’s real problem. I don’t know why(ww) I choose. May be(sp) I w(sp) be(ww) a sweepstakes whit(sp) my friends favourites(wo). It would be a(sp) unforgettable trip!

A funny film by Javiera.

A funny film, for me is the Ice Age 1,(p) I laughed a lot with this movie.
The first time that I saw it, maybe it was 3 or 4 years ago. Actually I don’t remember when I saw the movie. Also, (mw)always put(ww) the movie in (mw)cable television, and I see it.
The first time I saw it, I was in my house with my mother. Both saw this film, in Movie City channel;(p) I think that my brother was there too. It’s a funny movie, for enjoy(wt) with your family.
The story is about three animals, a sabertooth tiger, a sloth, and a mammoth. The name of the first is Diego, the next(ww) is Sid, and the mammoth is Manfred, but Sid called (mw)Manny. Many and Sid found a human baby, they called (mw)“Bodoque”, and they saw when the saber-toothed tiger attacks(wt),(p) the human tribe, and the mother of this baby ran away with him. And so, Many and Sid took the boy and star(wt) a history for(ww) found his father. After Many and Sid took the baby, Diego joined them in this trip, and so this is the start (ww)of this group like a family or “flock”(Manada in spanish).

A GOOD MAGAZINE! Maira

Dear friends, today I recommend an interesting magazine than(ww) I read all Sundays. It(ww) magazine is about the(nn) home & decoration. I read it because I like the(nn) architecture and design, so I (mw)take(wt) good ideas and (mw)plan the house of my dreams. Also, here appear(sp) beautiful landscapes when(ww) the(nn) people build wonderful houses (mw)far (mw)of the pollution and density(ww) cities.
The house of my dreams is big and far of(ww) Santiago. This would have beautiful gardens too, when(ww) my pets and children’s(sp) are(wt) play every day. Also, near the house will be necessary(nn) a pool, because I love swim(wt). The place of(ww) build (mw)I don’t decide(wt) yet, but I prefer the south of Chile. The style of architecture than(ww) I prefer for a house is a(nn) type(nn) in harmony with the environment. For example, if I live in a forest, I would like a house of natural wood(wo). Also, in this magazine appear(sp) (mw) interview of important architects and design(sp) persons(nn), when(ww) they talk about new ways of constructing(ww). My Photograph by Javiera.

The photograph that I like(wt) had(wt)takes(wt) it(ww) in(nn) this summer, in February when I was in(ww) my vacations with my family, a friend and my boyfriend. This photo show(wt) to my boyfriend (Alex) and me, it was really difficult (mw)took it, because Alex put the camera in a small branch of a tree with (mw) slope in the terrain and programmed the camera, and so he run to me in a few seconds. It was really funny! The place is called Lagoon El barco, (mw)a(ww) beautiful place very difficult to arrive(mw). In the photograph also(nn) you can see the lagoon, the Cordillera de los Andes, only a few meters (Argentina is really close(ww) to this place), and ancient beautiful(wo) trees called Araucarias, witch(sp) it(nn) lives with originals(sp) peoples(sp), the Pehuenches. I like this photograph because (mw) is a beautiful image, with green, blue, and a lot of colours,(p)which combined I like it(nn). Also because I’m with Alex, and he like(wt) it(nn) this photo too. He put the photograph in a photo frame in his bedroom and another (mw)in his office. All the people who see the photo in his office asked (mw) if the woman in the photo is his girlfriend (me).

I love the photography. I think than(ww) I will be photographer because this profession I like(wo) so(ww) much. I think all photos are important, because this(ww) represent one(ww) special moment.I have a lot(mw) favorites(sp) photos. I like my photos or than (nn)take(nn) other person(mw). But(nn) in this last time I like so much take pictures(wo)(mw) to my little niece. She(ww) name is Renata and she was(wt) one year old. I like (mw) take pictures to her because she is a very photogenic baby. The place is Algarrobo, a beautiful beach nearly(sp) to Santiago. Renata is(wt) located(mw) specifically in a(ww) games located inside the enclosure where we are staying. All days in the afternoon we went whit(sp) her to this(ww) games because she played here and knew other babies too.In this photography, we can see your(ww) beautiful smile (always we(wo) look there, because she is very happy) and I choose this photography for this reason. Creativity, as a natural condition. By Sir Dreamer

Education has been the central stone in a pyramide called society. However, this stone has been eroded by many unnatural disasters. I mean, education has been affected by human concepts which are not oriented to promote creativity in the system.
As we all know, (mw)educational system is not generating opportunites to achieve our real interests, on the contrary, it has an objective, which is controlling(wt) and modelling(wt) our preferences, which are determine(wt) by natural conditions. That is the contradiction!! Can we ignore our abilities or skills in order to accept an external model which has nothing to do with our genetic skills? In my point of view(ww), we can not suffer the consequences of external charges, these affect our creativity and our free spirit.

Damn spring!!
Is allergy or flu? I don’t know really(wo), but I feel this from started by(wo)(ww) the damn spring!. Most people think than8ww) the spring is the best season of the year, but I disagree with theirs(ww), I hate the spring.What’s the reason? Ok, here is the argument:First:(p) the changeSp) of temperature. All days we don’t know how are the day: cold, cloudy or sunny. Also the meteorologists are very liars(sp), so they’re wrong with the forecasts and (mw)cause colds. I don’t know whether (mw)coat or not! Really bad =/Second: A lot of plants produce pollen that is spread (mw)everywhere. The air is infected by fluff and we breathe all day, causing sneeze after sneeze.Well…not all is bad. Stoneheage...a great mistery!!!
Stonehenge is one of the prehistoric monuments that guards(ww) (mw)major mystery.
This work is a monument of ancient times, is an enormous mass of rocks, visibly tidy that is located in Great Britain, specifically near Amesbury in Wiltshir. This wonder of the world, set of rocks put of form circular(wo) and composed of wood, which until today does not allow to have a clear certainty of which it was the objetive8sp) of this work.
It is(ww) believed that Stonehenge was a center of worship where their purpose(sp) was to realize(ww) religious activities, others believe that this one was a sector led to a funereal(ww) temple, in alone(ww) where certain persons, (of major importance) were dismissed here.
Another theory suggest(sp9 that the aimwas(sp) rather astronomic, that is to say with this(wo)(nn) they realized celebrations for the summer solstice, where they could know since they would be the crops of every year, this according to what I have seen in National Geographic Channel or Discovery Channel.
The certain only thing(wo)(nn)of all this is that Stonehenge exceeds many architectural and astronomic current works, due to the mysticism, greatness and knowledge of the realized(ww) ones of this monument made for(nn) thousands of years ago.

My favorite piece of technology.
Well(p) my favorite piece technology is the labtop(sp), because (mw)is very important for the student of universities(wo) (in my case for example(wo)) and (mw)is a tool work(wt). I had my first ladtop(ww) two year(sp) ago, when my mother bought a labtop(sp) second hand(wo), but for my(ww) it was the best… I do(wt) not care the labtop was second hand(wo).I use(wt) the labtop(sp) In(p) my house, sometime(sp) I carry (mw)to (mw)universities and my mother use the labtop(sp) when she make(ww) your(ww) tesis(sp) of magister, and for last my father use(mw) only to check your(ww) email(sp).In my personal case(p) I use (mw)labtop(sp) every day because in my house (mw)is my computer, I do not have a desktop,(p) my little brother have the old desktop. Jajaja.I like many thing(nn) the my(ww) labtop(sp), I can listen(wt) my music in many place(sp), I have all (mw)pictures the(ww) my travels, I can work in the universities or in the house of my friend(wo) or classmate(sp), and I can connected(wt) to internet in any place.Mmm it is a difficult questions(sp) because this piece is my favorite (mw)about the(nn) technology, but I think that my life (mw)not changed (mw)much, my life would will(nn) be the same… but I(ww) was(ww9 arrange very much my time (wo).

Billy buried Kes. Suddenly, he felt that his life had to change.

When he faced his mother, all the feelings that he had hidden, appeared. He told her that she was absent, that all her life had been a constant chaos. He determined to left home and to explore the world that has been his real home. His brother had died in his mind. In fact, Billy had assumed that terrible situation, but he knew that Kes was living in his thoughts as a great friend and as a motivational element to face difficulties.

Billy grew up. He was eighteen, working in an old shoe factory that was dissapearing too. He wanted to train knaves, he wanted to share with those birds, he wanted to be free. At the end of the day, he came back to his house. His girl was waiting for him, with a great dinner. They were proud of themselves, they were happy.

One Sunday morning in the park, Billy and his girl were walking around, when something appeared in front of Billy. In the top of a tree, a beautiful, young and perfect knave was waiting for its prey. Billy look at it, and his mind travelled to his childhood. He understood that it was a great episode in his life, but at the same time, it was sad, depressing and enough. That was .....but now his life had to be with his girl and his new objective, his new little purpose, who was coming too. Now, he has new hopes.

The Pietá

An important piece of art in my life is an sculpture. It is called " The Pietá" by Michelangelo. This is a piece of art that represents the Renaissance. It has the body of Jesus on the lap of his mother Mary(p) after the Crucifixion.

The first time I saw it(P) was in my grandma´s house. She had an art book which contained pictures of the most famous pieces of art in human history. Besides, I had an important religious influence from her to analyse the Bible and Jesus life(P)for that reason(P) I was so impressed with it.


When I saw this sculpture in the picture, I was fascinated, because it was a perfect representation of Jesus and Mary, from my point of view(WO). I was 8 years old, and I couldn´t understand how Michelangelo had done it.


The Pietá is a fantastic and almost perfect representation of humanity anf(SP) history, it is an incomparable piece of art.


ERROR CORRECTION ACTIVITIES

Through these corrections activities, I have been progressing and advancing in noticing my own errors or mistakes. This process of correcting people´s posts has been positive and effective in the purpose of identifying and learning how to observe students writing and their common mistakes. The idea of correcting through blogs is a dynamic and technological tools to apply on students learning. Besides, they love to write and giving opinions, students are avid of interaction and participation, and ths mechanism is effective when there is participation and commitment.

Students who have been corrected, appreciate the feedback that we gave them. Students and future teachers are part of a dual process, in which both are important, in terms of how both can help to each other to learn and advance. This idea of sharing experiences has been benefitial for both parts, but we have learnt more about correcting mistakes, respecting people´s ideas and how those mistakes are not more important than the content. I mean, the form can not be more important than people´s thoughts. As a future teacher, I have to consider do not affect their free writing, their dreams.

My future.
Well, I think that in five years later(ww) I am will work(wt) in the government, and I hope work(wt) in political(ww) of the environments(wo). But I think that in five year(sp) from now I will start to work, because I have many plans before star to work.In the personality(ww) I am(nn) hope very good, and I would like to have a stable relationship,(p) in addition I hope (wt)have my thinking clear about my professional and personality(ww) life. I think that in five year later(ww) I live in Santiago, but I would like living(wt) in Vina del Mar, because y(ww) think this city is a good place for living, also I think that Vina is a(nn) just (mw)city for my(ww), this city it is not a biggest, but it is not a city very small(wo). Well, my ideal future would be to finish my career and(mw) once post grade in foreign, and (mw)work with a good salary, and living with my girlfriend in the(ww) apartment. I know that this ideal future is difficult, but I therefore(ww) for this.

Learning English: My experience

My English experience started in the(nn) primary school. I don’t remember the name of my first teacher (p)because she was a short time with us and after (mw)she went to another place than(ww) I did not know. I remember my second teacher. She was with us about five or six years and in my opinion she was really bad!! She (mw)called “Mireya” (horrible name) and she slept(ww) in class! Your(ww) class was very boring then I always got up from the chair and I talked with my classmates . This(ww) was the reason for my poor performance in high school. I had bad notes(ww), and I didn’t like this language. I didn’t have dimension(ww) about the important(ww) of the English Language until I started the University. From the first year of Geography(p) the(nn) teachers delivered us English text(sp) and this were(wt) really difficult for me. Now(p) I enjoy(wt) learning and I think than I’m good student. I practice in my free time with friends. We talked(wt), listened(wt) English songs and after (mw)we translate. I think than(ww) I progress every day and I hope learner(wt) more and more in the future. About the English culture I don’t know (mw)much, because I don’t have English friends and I don’t know English-(ww)speaking people. May be(sp) if I will travel for(ww) nations when the(nn) people speak English I learned(wt) (sm)complete this language. But I don’t have money so(sp) I need study(wt) and practice here, because English is very useful for me and I think than(ww) at this moment (sm)for all the professions in this globalizing(wt) world

Fiestas Patrias

The(NN) Fiestas Patrias are a typical parties(SP) in where(WW), the(NN) people celebrate every year the glories of ours(SP) army (Sep. 19), and the first Government(WO) meeting (Sep. 18). But(NN) actually I think that ours(WW) celebrate the Chilean Week, with Fondas: here(MW) sell typical food, like an(NN) empanadas, choripanes, anticuchos: typical drink(SP) like chicha, terremoto, wine in all its expressions, “piscola”, etc. and also the typical typical dance: the “cumbia guachaca”, the reggeton(SP) jijijiiji, not the typical dance is(WW) “La Cueca”, not all the people know dancing this dance, but some even(NN) try to(WW).I remember that once(NN), a journalist asks(WT) to the people: what it(WW) (MW) celebrates in the Fiestas Patrias? And the most people(WWO)(MW) answer “The independent(WW) of Chile”, that it isn’t true.When I was a child I remember that my father made a barbecue, with meat, chicken, pork, etc. and salads: Chilean salad, potatoes, pebre and a lot of pepper (I don’t like it). My mother made an oven(WW) empanadas (with meat, onion, eggs and black olives, ñumi : P)With my brothers played at(WW) little balls, but I never learned to play at the(NN) Trompo, I wanted play at(NN) TEJO, but I never played. But always played with my brother and my cousins.In those days my(WW) and my family will(WW) go to the country, but this years(WF) I’ll stay in my house(P) because my boyfriend got sick. 18 of September, just in time

Well(P) the 18 of September(WO) is the national day of Chile,(P) all the country is happy and all the activities stop as colleges, school, work, universities etc. In Chile(MW) have two days(P) the official holidays(MW) 18 and 19 of September, the(NN) school(WF) and universities have a(NN) once(WF) week the(WW)vacations. In these days(P) all the country is a party and many many people are drunk. (MW)These days the(NN) people eat “empanadas”, “asados”, “anticuchos” and drink red wine(P) this is a very typical for(WW) 18 of (WW) (WO)September,(P) also(MW) is a very typical make(WT) a roast(WW) with the family,(MW) as grandmother, grandfather, uncle, cousins(P) all the family… The young(WF) is typical (WT)go to(MW) beach as algarrobo, tongoy, el quisco or any other beach where (WT)feast,(P) the most important is (WT)go to beach with many friends in special womens(WF)… this is very very important, Mmm(P) when I was a child I stay(WT) with my family or go(WT) to travel to (MW)field the(WF) my father or field the my uncle(WO),(P) always I(WO) step very well in the 18.Nowadays I go to beach with all my friends, it is very likely that we go to algarrobo this 18, because in this place had(WW) a once(NN) free “fonda”, this is other(WF) element (MW)very important for decides(WT) where to go.My favorite 18 was 2 years ago… was truly incredible.

ME AND THE FUTURE

My future... I think than(WF) will be fantastic!! I'm sure than(WF) I will be very happy, because I'm (MW)very lucky person. The future don't scare me. I will be(NN) have a big house with a swimming pool and I will be(NN) invite to my classmates university(WO), and we will eat and drink (coffe or tea) very much(WO)(WW), because all of them will have very good jobs and we will have money. Also I will be(NN) need a great car, of course, because it's necesary to every proffesional(SP) person and I think than(WW) in five years more(P) the public transport will collapse.Where I will live? I don't know really, but I prefer the countryside. Analyzing blogs is a good method to learn how to review and correct students' learning process.The blogs that I read are an example about how people is trying to learn English as much as possible trough internet.This is a fantastic mechanism to appreciate their English level, but at the same time, it is an opportunity to observe their way of thinking as bloggers.

Blog Revolution. "A new perspective"

My first impression about blogs was that they were a fashion mechanism to communicate to each other. I thought that they were a temporal tool on internet. However, blogs have been a new and interesting way of creating opinion and participation, because many people can manage their own blog with original information.At the same time, people can incorporate their own point of view or a new perspective about life.

Blogs are taking place as part of our society in terms of opinion,participation and technology. In our classes we have been creating different comments and articles about news or specific topics such as, education, technology, literature, culture,art, etc. That alows us to improve our english level and at the same time, it helps us to acquire a complete vision of culture and life in general.

On of the most important elements in this class has been the creative process. We have been learning how to write and how to think without much rules. I mean, we are part of a free style in writing. This is a phenomenon, that gives us fredom to write and to express our internal perspective about life. People in general, have taken blogs as an escape to say what they want.

On the other hand, blogs are producing new writers and readers, who do not know how to express their thoughts and feelings correctly. Sometimes, internet is admiting this behaviour as as rule, but students are using blogs to write with an inappropriate vocabulary or with many mistakes. Besides, their messages are irresponsable in terms of creating adhesion of new groups. Psychologycaly, people tend to express their opinion in the middle of the mass, and blogs are part of that mass, because they do not have to face anybody in any circumstances.

Finally, blogs are part of our society and our culture. We are inmerse in this tendency which is admiting a new perspective of expression. The main problem about blogs are not blogs, the main problem are people. They have to manage this tool correctly for contributing to develop critical thinking, but respecting themselves and others. We are learning how to use blogs, but we have to learn how to use ourselves in front of blogs.

Social class is a topic that contains many branches. It refers to education, to occupation, to culture and to income (Wikipedia,2008). In this way, authors tend to incorporate this concept in their novels as a common charactersitic of readers in the whole world. On the other hand,working class or proletariat is a manifestation of power and political problems that affects people`s lives. According to our novels; The Commitments and Rumble Fish, working-class is a topic well developed, as a central element. They both, are a clear manifestation of how working class is a challenge to achieve some purposes in life, because in these cases, people are facing problems to overcome daily.

A common word in these novels is unemployment. Both have this element represented in people who are trying to work and to survive in the jungle. In The Commmitments, most of the musicians are unemployed by different reasons. This is factor that promotes inequality and poverty, consequently people are finding opportunities to improve their quality of life. At he same time, in Rumble Fish, people are taking part of gangs to solve their problems trough violence. In both cases, working class is represented by problems and disadvantages. In both novels, people have not a clear purpose of life and a clear opportunity to develop their interests and abilities. In Rumble fish, Rusty has a reduce life expectancy acording to his family and way o living. In the Commitments, the band has a reduce life expectancy too, because they are part of the working class, who do not have the necessary economic and cultural background to solve their problems.

Social class is an state, and at athe same time is an opportunity to react against social problems that affect this part of the society. Working class is the common concept in both novels. Working class has not the same opportunities in the whole world, it is an abandoned class. Maybe, it is manifestation of wrong public policies or it is a manifestation of capitalism, which is an impediment to develop our lives correctly and with the same opportunities for everyone.These novels are a useful and interesting example of how people are sufering and facing inequality and poverty around the world.

The Pietá

An important piece of art in my life is an sculpture. It is called " The Pietá" by Michelangelo. This is a piece of art that represents the Renaissance. It has the body of Jesus on the lap of his mother Mary after the Crucifixion.

The first time I saw it was in my grandma´s house. She had an art book which contained pictures of the most famous pieces of art in human history. Besides, I had an important religious influence from her to analyse the Bible and Jesus life, for that reason I was so impressed with it.


When I saw this sculpture in the picture, I was fascinated, because it was a perfect representation of Jesus and Mary, from my point of view. I was 8 years old, and I couldn´t understand how Michelangelo had done it.


The Pietá is a fantastic and almost perfect representation of humanity anf history, it is an incomparable piece of art.

Maths. They are terrible!!!

My least favourite school subject were Maths. I hated it since primary school. I always had problems with this kind of exercises, because I remembered that in primary school I passed this subject, because it was a compulsory one, but I would have prefered eliminate it of my life.

In secondary school, I was good at Language, sciences and P.E. but, my problem with Maths was permanent. At the University I studied Maths again. Maybe, they are a horrible nightmare in my life.

I believe that teachers do not explain it good enough. Besides, students believe that they are never going to be able to understand this subject, because they assumed it as an impossible challenge. I hope that in the future I would change this view, to consider Maths as an important element in my life.

Rumble Fish

How important are the following characters in the film Rumble fish:

Rusty James: The main character. He is a young boy who has many problems in his particular life. At the same time, he is always wondering and trying to find his destiny, trough violence. He is the central part of the movie, and represents the fluctuations of adolescents.

The Motorcycle Boy: Rusty`s brother. He has a central role in the movie. Because, he is absent and at the same time he is present in the main situations that Rusty faces. The Motorcycle Boy has a particular view of the world and his influence is determinant is Rusty`s life. He was an icon for Rusty and his friends.

Steve Hays: Steve is a good and patient friend. He is always supporting Rusty`s behaviour and at the same time, he is able to criticize Rusty when he is acting in a wrong way. Steve is the equilibrium in Rusty`s life.

Patty: She is Rusty`s girlfriend for a period of time. She lives in a traditional house with an strict family, composed by her mother and a sister. Patty loves Rusty, but she is not able to tolerate his life.

Cassandra: She represents how a girl can influenced your life in a negative way. She is like a Motorcycle`s girlfriend, but she is drogadict and she loves the "living legend", but he is always in his private moon.

Patterson: The cop is an authority in the city. He is alwyas trying to catch Rusty and The Motorcycle Boy. He is a figure who controls people movements and generates a weak atmosphere in the neighborhood. Moreover, he is the main opponent to their way of life.

Smokey: He is a friend who is always helping Rusty when he is facing risks. According to his life, Smokey is a person who moves with the wind. I mean, he has not a clear idea about his future as the majority of the gang.

Rusty's parents: They are absent. His father is an alcoholic man who doesn´t have a good and correct life. His mother is living with another man, and she is only a bad memory in his life. Parents are the reason why he has that kind of life.

New version about: "Malnutrition in Guatemala"

Two days ago, while I was watching T.V. ,a piece of news called my attention. A survey in Guatemala, came up with shocking results: more than 30% of guatemalan children are malnourished. Apart from that, there is only one malnutrition treatment centre in this country and it has nothing to do with the Government. This situation impressed me, because in Chile, 40% of our children are suffering from overweight.Is it unfair?Is it wrong? What is your opinion about it?.

Two days ago, I was watching T.V. ,when a news called my attention. IF ALL GOES WELL......

This is an interesting Blog, which contains many social and political issues. The point of view is very critical , because there are many ideas which give us an opportunity to think and reflect about currents events. At the same time, it contains topics which are practical and entertaining.

On the other hand, the structure is very clear, and alow us to have an uninterrupted view to comment their topics. In general, it has a well ordered and useful way of writing, and the pictures support ideas.

In terms of grammar, it is very useful to justify the post to put in order the ideas, but it would be only spliting hairs.

Finally, this Blog is a good example of how to write things in an interesting way, and at the same time, to encourage people to reflect about them. I mean, well developed ideas mean: a good Blog.

One to One with "The King"

I would like to have a one to one with The King. His name is Elvis Presley the most important artist and the reference to the next musical generations. He was the precursor of the "Rock ´n´ Roll" and actually, he is the influence of the musicians and singers in the whole world. I analyzed his career and his music and I realized that he was a genius, because he put in practice all the things that you can see in scene now.

I would talk about his first steps in music, and how he realized that there was so big talent inhis life. At the same time, I would like to know if he was under pressure at the final of his life or if he was stressed about his incredible and exciting life. Maybe, it would be interesting to know how he discovered or created rock and those rhythms which are part of our own sound track. I would like to visit the place where he was born to have this incredible and interesting conversation.

From my point of view, he was the first star in the music world. I mean, he is a cultural icon, because he was ahead of one´s time.

Austria cellar case

A 73 year- old men imprisoned and abussed to his daughter, called Elisabeth Fritzl. She was repeatedly raped by her father during 24 years. But the most shocking situation is, that he is the father of her 6 children.

Austrian police is investigating if Josef Fritzl, girl`s father, is responsible for a murder of a girl called Martina Posch.

For that reason, this an impacting and horrible piece of news, that it is more incredible and unbelievable than a movie, isn´t it?

Chiloé, a big island.

I like visiting Chiloé. I had been there many times. It is an incredible and mystic place in the south of Chile. I prefer visiting the south of Chile, because it is colorfull and it has a variety of places to discover, you never stop to discover places in the south. At he same time, Chiloé is a big island surrounded by many islands which have its own traditions and characteristics.

Chiloé in Mapudungun means "place of chelles" which are white birds with black heads. Typical food is delicious and it is composed by seafood and vegetables that have a pure and fantastic flavour. Besides, it is a great place to visit in family or in couple, because you can rest and at the same time you can have fun.

However, take care of "El trauco" or "La Pincoya" ,which are part of the legends and myths of Chiloé, do not visit Chiloé alone, and if you do it, good luck.

The Commitments

All of us have had the idea of creating a group or a band in our childhood. This is the theme of a book called "The Commitments", which represents the dreams of people who were inmerse in the music world.

The original version is the written version, which is more descriptive and precise. It give us a view of how a group of people create a band in order to connect their beliefs, dreams and music. Moreover, it is a clear narration of life, and how life gives opportunities and experiences to people.

The Commitments in a word means: "diversity". Because, all of them have different preferences in music and life styles. However, they composed an entertaining and crazy band.

On the other hand, the movie has a brief description of the characters, and it has an overview about their personalities. In the visual version, the group has not many difficulties to advance in the musical environment . Maybe, it is a short and simple interpretation of the book. But it is effective to catch people´s attention.

From my point of view, in the book you need to imagine and create the atmosphere and the situations that the author describes, you have to discover and analyse the consequences of creating a group. For that reason, the written version has a more complex and clear description of the story, which is an example of life and, at the same time, a good reason to achieve your goals, despite of general rules that society sets.

As a way of learning, BBC Learning English, represents a useful and complete website to be informed. At the same time, you can practice your English improving it, with a wide range of links.

This website has good exercises, I mean, reading, writing and listening exercises, which are a supportive way of improving your English level. Moreover, if you need to clarify some doubts you can find many solutions as a student and, at the same time, for teachers who are planning English classes.

Creativity, as a natural condition. By Sir Dreamer

Education has been the central stone in a pyramide called society. However, this stone has been eroded by many unnatural disasters. I mean, education has been affected by human concepts which are not oriented to promote creativity in the system.

As we all know, educational system is not generating opportunites to achieve our real interests, on the contrary, it has an objective, which is controlling and modelling our preferences, which are determine by natural conditions. That is the contradiction!!. Can we ignore our abilities or skills in order to accept an external model which has nothing to do with our genetic skills? In my point of view, we can not suffer the consequences of external charges, these affect our creativity and our free spirit.

Nowadays, there are many sites which represent a complement in our lives. I mean, they have been a supportive way of solving problems associated with university. At the same time, there is a wide range of sites which reports information, but we have to filter and process the topics that they contain.

From my point of view, if there is an important element in my life, it has been the Dictionary. At school, I always was searching for words, and once a day I discovered a new one, as a way of improving my lexis. Some years ago, I always had an spanish dictionary in my bag, when I was studying law. However, six or seven years ago , I found the site RAE.ES which is the same dictionary but on line, of course. It has been a constant friend in my life, and not always for studying, at the same time, I am always searching for words that are related with daily routine. In addition, there is another site connected with the same function called WORDREFERENCE.COM, which is in English and it is as useful as RAE.ES. I always have a link opened when I am working with my stuffs.

Both of them,represent a support to develop my tasks and at the same time, they contribute to improve my Spanish, because there are many words that we use daily in a wrong way, and my English, because there are many words which are a challenge for me, for sure.

China accused Dalai Lama of fomenting violence

In the middle of the conflict between China and Tibet, the Chinese government has acussed to the head of Tibetan government of fomenting violence and promoting attacks to confront the opposition. The winds of independece are blowing above Tibetan groups who are fighting against comunism in order to obtain independence.
On ther hand, police said that spiritual leaders are organizing suicide squads to lunch violents attacks, because they discovered guns, weapons and explosives in monasteries, but tibetans denied that acussation. Actually, tibetans demostrated that the are not evidences about the accusations.
This conflict started with pacific protests on March 10, which increased the range of violence, generating almost 140 victims in this conflict.
Finally, many authorities are fomenting dialogue between Chinese government and Tibetan government in order to solve the conflict and diminish violence in the population.

If there is a common and practical gadget, that is my cellphone. Maybe, it is not the last one in technology, but it is very useful to get the message across when I need it.
Sometimes, we do not perceive that cellphones are part of our daily routine. Many people consider cellphones as a central element, and they can not live without them.
In my point of view, cellphones represent an advantage, but they can not dominate our lives, we have to control them.
